December, 2017

Rideauwood Farm began the journey to Wellington, Fl for the 2018 winter season at a crisp -29C.  This year, 5 horses will be travelling for the season to train and compete.  Yanina and Susanne will both be in Florida for the season, and others will be making shorter trips down through the winter to train and compete.

August, 2017

On August 6, Rideauwood hosted the 2017 GOV Foal Registration, and Stallion Candidate Inspection.  This year 6 foals and 4 stallion candidates were presented.

It was a wonderful day with very interesting and talented horses presented.  Of the six foals that were presented, five were awarded "Foal of Distinction" status including Rideauwood Farm's Rückspiel's Attack (Rheirattack/For Compliment).

In the Sattelkörung for 3 and 4 year old stallions, the following candidates were presented:

2013 Bordeaux/For Compliment/Wanderbursch II

2013 Dante Weltino/Dimaggio/Rohdiamant

2014 For Romance/Sir Donnerhall/Rosenkavilier

2014 Don Frederic/Dimaggio/Rohdiamant

The Dante Weltino and For Romance stallions were awarded approval to breed in 2018.  Congratulations to Cashel Farms of Markham, On and to Sam Jeanson of L’Épiphanie, QC.

July, 2017

Yanina competed in the 2017 North American Junior and Young Rider Championship in Saugerties, NY as a member of the Young Rider team from Ontario.  Although Yanina qualified both Bakari (Hann 2005 Belissimo/Dream of Glory) and R'Myattack (OLD 2007 Rheirattack/Wanderbursch II) for the Championship, she could only compete one horse, and she decided to compete with R'Myattack.  They did very well and ended up as the top placed Individual horse/rider combination from Canada.

September, 2016

Rideauwood Farm travelled to Germany at the end of September with clients for 10 days on a pre-arranged, boutique horse shopping trip.  We stopped at many first class facilities, and looked at a number of horses.  In the end, a multitude of horses were purchased from various locations including one 4 year old riding horse (Foundation/Argentinus), and 2 foals (colt from Quantensprung/Depardieu, and a filly from Quantensprung/Rubinero) at the Klosterhof Medingen Auction.

Also purchased were two jumping bred broodmares from Levisonn and Lordanos, as well as a jumping mare from Casiro, and a 3 year old dressage mare from Londontime.

All in all, a fantastic trip with alot of laughter, great wine, super food, many memories, and in the end, some extremely high quality horses coming to Canada.

We are already planning for our next shopping trip in the new year.  If anybody would like to join us, please contact us!!

Rideauwood Farm hosted the GOV Foal Registration and Mare Inspection on 18 Sept. Judges were Sebastian Rohde from Vechta, Germany and Holly Simensen from West Palm Beach, Fl.
In addition, a MPT was held with 3 mares presented.

Four foals were shown with Premium awards presented to Allison Moore's Sandro Hit filly, and Rideauwood Farm's, Veritas, from Vitalis/Bellissimo M/Don Primero.

A Mare Performance Test was also held. Winning Mare was Ferrari, a 4 year old mare from Fürst Grandios/Rheirattack/Don Primero, owned by Lori Pedersen, and bred by Rideauwood Farm. Congratulations to Lori, as Ferrari won the jumping phase, under saddle phase, and the overall high score mare. Ferrari was awarded State Premium Mare status.

March, 2016

Congratulations to Yanina for her win today at the Palm Beach Derby CDI*** in the FEI Junior Team Test at The GDF show grounds in Wellington, Fl. She rode R'Myattack, a 2007 Oldenburg gelding (Rheirattack/Wanderbursch II) bred by Rideauwood Farm. She is, of course, trained and coached by her mother, Susanne Dutt-Roth. We are proud of her hard work and her success.

Yanina and R'Myattack continued to have an exceptional week at the Palm Beach Derby CDI***. Competing in the FEI Junior Division, they followed up their win in the Junior Team Test with a second place finish in the Junior Individual Test and a first place in the Junior Freestyle class.  All in all, a fabulous start to the 2016 competition season. IMG_1269 IMG_1276
