June 2010
Rideauwood Farm had a phenomenally successful Blainville show in Montreal (June 17-20) with all six rider/horse combinations placing in the ribbons. The highlight of the show was the breakout Grand Prix performance of Susanne and Rheirattack. They won the GP championship with a score of 64.8%, confirming that the high quality training sessions over the past 6 months were a harbinger of competitive performances to come. Equally encouraging was the extremely positive feedback from the FEI judges regarding their potential as a team to continue to improve into the future.

Susanne and Bakari, a 5 year old gelding from Belissimo M, owed by Wanda Jamieson, finished in 3rd place in the FEI 5 Year Old class.
Wanda also showed Bakari on Sunday, winning her AA Training level classes.
Daniel Kehres, rode the 8 year old Hannoverian gelding, R.D. Danyluk, owed by Connie Darwin, to multiple class wins in the Open Third Level Division.
Marianne Fizet, rode her 7 year old CWB gelding, Modano, to multiple ribbons in the AA Third Level Division.
Joelle Brisson, rode the 12 year Trakehner gelding, Opus IV, to multiple ribbons in the FEI Young Rider Division.

On 2 June we were fortunate to have our second healthy Belissimo foal of 2010. This colt (Belissimo/Rheirattack/Don Primero) was born a week early out of an Oldenburg daughter from our stallion, Rheirattack.
Like the first Belissimo foal born in March, this foal is very pretty, friendly, and athletic. Both foals are clear examples of why Belissimo is one of the most popular stallions in the world.
May 2010
Joelle Brisson riding Opus IV won the FEI Young Riders class at a National level show held between 21-23 May in Bromont, QC . It is quite an accomplishment for Joelle as this is her first year showing at the FEI Young Rider level.
Susanne and Rheirattack competed at Grand Prix and received a beautiful embroidered cooler for winning the Grand Prix Championship.
Congratulations to Brooke and Nadine Koppeser of Winterbourne, Ontario on of their purchase of the extremely talented "Frodo", a 2006 gelding from Fürst Grandios/Roman Nature/Debütant. Brooke and Frodo will continue training and preparing for competition at the FEI Junior level. We look forward to seeing them at competitions in the future.
March 2010
We are pleased to announce that Rideauwood Farm's first foal (Belissimo M/Don Primero/Dollberg)) of the year was born on 26 March 2010. This lovely, springy filly is the first foal from Belissimo to be born in North America, and clearly illustrates why Belissimo M is one of the very best dressage stallions in the world.

January to March 2010
Susanne took two horses to train and compete in the Florida Winter Circuit in Wellington. She, of course, took Rheirattack who competed in numerous National and CDI events at the Grand Prix level, as well as her 6 year old Hannoverian gelding, D2 (Depardieu/Warkant/Cavalier). It was an extremely successful training and show season as Susanne and both her horses had the opportunity to train with the Canadian Team Coach, Robert Dover.
Also spending the season in Florida was Wanda Jamieson, and her 5 year old Hannoverian gelding, Bakari (Belissimo M/Dream of Glory/Fidelio). Wanda also competed, doing extremely well in her classes.

August 2009
Rideauwood Farm hosted the Oldenburg Mare Inspection and Foal Registration on a beautiful, sunny day on August 12, 2009.
We were fortunate to have Sarah Schröer and Bastian Scharmann from Germany as our inspectors. Their insight and advice regarding the mares, foals, and general breeding philosophy was appreciated by all.
On this day, 6 mares and 10 foals were presented. All 6 mares were accepted to the main mare book.
Rideauwood Farm presented two foals:
Forspiel, a very athletic, powerful and rhythmic filly from (For Compliment/Wanderbursch II/Askan) born June 9th, 2009, was the Champion foal of the Inspection, and was recognized as a Foal of Distinction. We were particularly delighted to have such positive feedback regarding our choice of For Compliment as a stallion for this particular mare.

Quartermoon, a colt from (Quattro B/Rheirattack/Don Primero) born April 20th, 2009 was recognized a Foal of Distinction.

In addition, a 3 year old and a 5 year old gelding from Belissimo M were presented under saddle, and a 3 year old gelding from Fuerst Grandios was presented in hand. Judging by the very positive response to these presentations, I think some stallion selection decisions for next year were made on the spot!!
All in all a very successful day!!
